KIDS FIRST!® Adult Jurors say - Offers information about rock climbing and camping, Native Americans, hygiene, and respect for nature. Scenery is incredible and the music rocks. The traditional Native American dress is stunning. There is something for everyone, from outdoor stills to rock art. The mountain biking parts are awesome. The only down side are scenes of playing hide and seek in holes and crevices which are potentially dangerous. It does stress safety and using proper equipment at all times.

KIDS FIRST!® Adult Jurors say - Offbeat and entertaining. Well produced. Original premise leads to unexpected situations. Interesting story, based on a "gift" that the boy had to learn to use. His learning is intriguing and the effects of the gift are funny. The setting is a high school and included events typical for high schoolers. The story flows well and there are lots of details to the "gift" the boy had to learn to control. As you're watching it, you wonder where it's going and willing go along. Even an interaction with a bully is handled through non-violent response. There is no profanity or negative topics. The boy is always late for class and, as a result the teacher is awful to him. All the adults are a bit over-played and stereotyped. You can appreciate that the creators paid attention to keeping inappropriate language and topics out as there are plenty of opportunities to include if they so chose. Excellent production values, acting, sets and costumes. Besides, it is darn good entertainment. If high school isn't difficult enough, Ezra Chase (Lucas Grabeel) must cope with the fact that food, in many forms, appears in his hands. While useful during school food fights, Ezra must deal with this strange talent at the time most kids are concerned with fitting in and college acceptance. The film is fun and moves well, just watch out for all the flying food!
KIDS FIRST!® Kid Jurors say - Younger kids enjoyed the food theme and the boy's ability to retaliate with throwing food at people. Older kids thought it was funny although a bit corny. Overall response from kids: "Interesting story." They enjoyed watching it even though it was "weird" and completely unbelievable. Favorite part: food fight! Kids thought the teacher was mean and spiteful, especially when he belittled the boy for being late to class. They really enjoyed the food fight scenes and the parts when the food boy got his time to shine. All the kids found the premise of being able to make food at will interesting and appealing but unbelievable.

Ocie is definitely not the "normal" little girl from the late 1800s and for that, this story is a bit of a stretch. However, for girls of contemporary times, her story is believable and entertaining following her trevails to becoming what was accepted as a "lady."

KIDS FIRST!® Adult Jurors say - Presentation is just right for the targeted age group. Interesting, educational and includes good questions related to the content. Teddy has great adventures and the program is quite educational. The pace changes continually throughout the presentation making it fun and engaging. Good storyline. Production slightly amateurish. Teddy and Tempest act like typical 6-year-olds. "I loved the brain workout at the end with the other questions about the content." The animation of the animals is also well done. "I would like to see the mouths of the characters match their words." It celebrates diversity, culture, intelligence, movement and environmental consciousness. Kids will relate to the idea of traveling in a spaceship, going on a journey and exploring other "worlds." There are some scenes that might be too scary for younger kids.

The storyline is easy to follow and written at the appropriate age level with silly characters and interesting creatures like the sprite and mud creatures. The premise of the show, of an American boy moving to China and learning about his new home, provides the perfect opportunity for his exploration. Brilliantly colored, 2D animation. Very engaging. The animation is well done with truly spectacular use of light. The score is wonderful. It is hip with a classic Chinese sensibility to it and the theme song as well as other songs are catchy and well produced. This offers a great way to learn some vocabulary in Mandarin Chinese. The story is fun and the animation beautiful. The key character, Walker provides a good guide for exploring Chinese language and lifestyle. The structure is somewhat like a Chinese version of the best-selling series, Dora the Explorer. The storyline is simple enough for young children to follow and well paced. KIDS FIRST!® Kid Jurors say - Outstanding! Kids loved it. They loved learning how to make Chinese food and about Chinese culture, art and language. (They learned how to say "nee hau.") Many repeated the Chinese words throughout the show. They really enjoyed the music and danced around to the song that came on in the middle of the program. They understood that they were learning about things in the Chinese market. The colors and sound were well appreciated, as was the music. One boy had been to the Chinese market and knew how to use chopsticks. Two tried to copy the calligraphy afterwards.

They do an excellent job showing how hunting is about survival rather than sport. The animal parents are shown as good providers. The film hooks you immediately with images and humor. The giraffe tells the story about the antelopes, alluding to her own story at various points so it arouses your curiosity and keeps you engaged in the story. It is chocked full of interesting animal facts such as the animals jumping in the air to warn others of danger. It does show animals killed in hunt which is something that may bother sensitive viewers. Excellent production values - crisp images, clear and pleasing narration.

Traditional songs are played throughout the film. Monumental figures are very descriptive of the roles they played in American history. They are very animated with distinct personalities. The only short-coming is that it lacks information about Blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans, or women in history. More information than a pre-schooler can fully absorb but it is fun, not confusing, and well animated.

KIDS FIRST!® Adult Jurors say - This is a virtual visual research paper about trackers with top notch information but definitely not something for every viewer. You're goijng to have to be a die hard tracktor fan to get the most out of this. The extent of ths information about tractor ranges from fields to auction, and covers a time period that goes back to the beginning of tractors to present time. The songs are a refreshing break from the incredible amount of statistics and information offered. Kids who know nothing about farming have a lot learn about the volume of labor that goes into planting and harvesting and how machines help. It challenges the viewer with information such as motor sizes and types of machinery but the viewer does get lost. Near the end is an interactive game which puts the viewer's comprehension skills to test.
KIDS FIRST!® Kid Jurors say - Liked it. "I learned a lot about tractors. I like the music, the tractor that goes backwards, the Buck and the wrong field part, and learning about all the machines and how they work. I want to be a robotics engineer someday and I love learning about machines." They enjoyed learning about John Deere. Even though they didn't see him, he was a main character. The littlest viewers loved the animal pictures and named the animals. One 2-year-old loved the flags on the tractors. "I'm not really into tractors but it was still good."
